Yahoo Toolbar Crashed Firefox with some site

It’s a known issue now when browses Catholic Cambodia website. The site will load so long because one javascript conflict with Yahoo Toolbar 2.1.1.20091029021655 add-on of firefox 3.6.8 that just upgrade the yahoo messenger. I’m not sure exactly reason but just know that recently when firefox’s trying to upgrade to version 3.6 some add-ons always conflict to each others and beside that using yahoo messenger also can make our PC (Windows) crashes sometimes.

Kind of those software are getting down one by one.

So if you meet around such the website crashes, consider to disable this add-on, please consider one of this option.

I haven’t tested to find how many sites will crash because of this add-on, so if you guys found, please let’s us know.

WP-Filebase is a powerful download manager supporting file categories, thumbnails and more. Uploaded files can be associated with a post or page so the download URL, thumbnail and other file information are appended automatically to the content. Additionally the downloadmanager offers options to limit traffic and download speed.

2. How to use WP-Filebase

After you login to the administration area, on the left of the admin area, go to Tool navigation and at its sub menu, found name: WP-Filebase

On the WP-Filebase area, you will see many menu buttons to manage:

• Manage files:  To upload files
• Manage Categories: To create categories
• Sync. Files: When you upload files via FTP and sync. to here
• Edit stylesheet: Change color, style etc.
• Manage template: Change layout of the template

You can edit existing category by click or add the new category.

In our case, we have currently only one category: The messenger to manage the PDF of the messenger newsletter.

Please have a look to the form layout and the explanation notice on it:

• You need to do as following steps:

• Choose file: Browse to a file (as example: PDF file of the messenger)
• Choose a Thumbnail: Browse to an image file to display for the upload file (as example: the messenger cover)
• Give info to the file as: Title, Author, Version and Date
  • For The messenger, give as following sample:
    • Title: September 2009
    • Author: Catholic Social Communications or CSC
    • Version: Year 2 – Issue 3
    • Date: 30-August-2009 (The published date)
• Link the file to category (In our case: select The Messenger)
• Description: It’s optional for us, but good if can put some description

WordTube is a WordPress plugin uses for managing and display media files such as: mp3 and movie. wordTube supports the streaming video format (Format .flv or .swf), sound files as MP3 and JPG, GIF or PNG grafic files.

Here, I’m briefly explain the simple usage of the wordTube to manage Catholic media files for music and movies that mostly we have produced every time.

We manage them by album, here in wordTube, we use playlist. So any time, we have new album, we create a playlist represent to the album as well.

The steps to remember here:

• Create new playlist for the album
• Add (upload) new media by input information of the song and attach the media to playlist
• Place the album to a page if need a specific page for the album

We publish radio program every week, currently we have 2 regular program called: “Emmanuel” and “I need You“.

So here, you just need to categorize it in playlist as following:

• Radio
• I need you
• Emmanuel

So when you manage the radio program, please add them according to above playlist, see below picture:

We produced movies in sometimes for some ceremonies or for education that use in Catholic community. Normally the movie is a short movie. So I may suggest that no need to have each playlist for the movie but manage playlist for movies according to topic (to discuss and confirm) as following example:

• Education
• Parish and Community
• Eucharist and Catholic ceremony
• Special Event
• About Cambodia

As movies are still in big size and movie streaming is a large task for server, I may suggest to post most of the movie at YouTube first and attach the movie to WordTube as well.

I created a playlist called: Video in order to manage all videos.

But in case, we want to upload to our server, would be Ok, the same as upload for music.

Recommended steps to remember:

• Create all topic (playlist) as I said above
• Add movie to YouTube with all description there
• Attach movie (YouTube) to our site by wordTube, so all info will display at our site
• Link the movie to topic (playlist) as above and a global playlist called: Video
• Place the movie to any page

After login to Admin part, you may see on your left hand a Media navigation and in its sub menu we found: wordTube, click on it to go on the way.

In next part, you need to know how to create playlist, add new media.

When you’re at the wordTube admin part, go down, you may see word: Playlist Preview (Edit) – Click on the edit word and starting to add the playlist or edit the play list as well.

You need to put only:

• Playlist Name
• Description (optional)
• Order sorting (optional)

At wordTube admin part, you will see the button [Insert new media files]

On the left:

• Enter Title / Name

  • Input all information of the media such as title, author or creator and description of the media

• Upload a file

  • And then upload a file from your computer with a screen of the media if any

• or enter URL to file

  • Here you can give the url of the file that already in the server or from YouTube as example.

On the right:

That media setting, you will attach the media to the playlist and wanna to enable media to auto start or disable ads as well.

Go to sidebar Widget: Appearance -> Widgets

Infected to all index.php and js files.

Issue maybe due to the ftp site authentication was stolen via saved ftp password in ftp client.

I’ll check to all ftp client who used to login to this site as during last 3 weeks, I don’t use ftp for this site as well.

Mostly we use FileZilla, so we can find storing password at:

C:\Documents and Settings\(user)\Application Data\FileZilla\sitemanager.xml

SOLUTION in this case,

I reupload all core part of wordpress mu 2.9.2 and all plugins to remove above added script.

Got big issues on following even after replace still error.

• all-in-one-seo-pack: Class aioseop.class.php

• connections: class class.upload.php
• dynamic-content-gallery-plugin: Its javascript (jd.gallery.js)

So they are need to re-download and upload as well.

The “element” seem not an object. This error happens only in case I activate Event Manager

I have no yet solution as no time to debug the issue and correct… if anyone can find a quick solution would be very great!

New navigation for diocese

New navigation added to Diocese link, we will add more links later related to history of Catholic Church statistic data.

Notice that the diocese page on implement the current page still exist for all article filter.

Now I use lightbox plus plugin to track all images on current post to view nice popup box and you just need to click next or previous to interact with other images.

We have input most searching keywords related to Catholic Church in Cambodia.
